About Leader Group Decorating

We paint and decorate homes, townhomes and businesses in Park Ridge and the suburbs around it, from our headquarters on Northwest Highway in Park Ridge.

How we think about a paint job

A paint job is mostly prep. The color is the part people see, but whether it still looks right in five years depends on what happened before the first coat: how the cracks were opened and filled, whether loose paint was scraped down to something sound, and whether the primer suits the surface underneath.

The suburbs around Park Ridge make that harder than new construction does. Much of the housing went up between the 1920s and the 1970s, with plaster in the older homes, old oil paint on the trim, radiators in bungalows, cedar that weathers fast and brick that has been painted, stripped and painted again. We built our way of working around those houses rather than around new drywall.

That is also why we treat older homes as lead-safe jobs from the start, keep a clear path through occupied houses, and leave a labeled can of touch-up paint for every room.

One base in Park Ridge

Every job runs from our headquarters at 7420 Northwest Highway in Park Ridge. From there I-294, the Kennedy and the Edens take our painters to Des Plaines, Niles, Skokie and Evanston, out to Arlington Heights, Palatine and Schaumburg, up the North Shore and west into DuPage County.

One number, (312) 579-0481, answered 24 hours a day. Whoever picks up takes down the job and books a walk-through with a painter.

Final walk-through

We go over the work with you and fix what you point out before we call it done.

Touch-up paint left behind

Labeled by room and color so small marks can be fixed later.

How calls are handled

Leader Group paints every job it books. On the rare day every one of our painters is already committed, a call may be passed to another established local painting company so your job still gets looked at quickly, and we say so on the call before anything is arranged.

Articles on our painting resources page are written by Thaddeus Wojcik, senior painter.
